Mr. Afolabi Tajudeen Adetoyese

Head of Finance and Accounts

Mr. Afolabi Tajudeen Adetoyese is the Head of Finance and Accounts of Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding (CBCIU).Over 2 decades, 15 years in the Banking industry with 10 years as a Managing Director.

Qualifications: HND, BSC, MSC- Accounting, ACA .Professional Qual: ICAN, CIBN. Others: EFCC- Training in fraud and money laundering prevention/detection. Special skills: Expert in the use of accounting software packages like: Peachtree, QuickBooks, Excel, words, power points etc

MR. OLUFEMI GBEOLA

Archivist

Born over four decades ago to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Gbeola Caleb Olusola, (JP) in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area, Osun State.

He holds a Bachelor degree in Social Studies Education with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. Started his career in Administration as Personnel Assistant III with the State Primary Education Board, Osogbo, Osun state in August 1995. He later joined the services of Federal Ministry of Education as Master GRD III Officer at Federal Government Girl’s College, Ikot Obio itong, Akwa Ibom State. In August 2009, he joined Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding Osogbo as an Archivist in training. He thereafter proceeded to National Archives Ibadan where he obtained Diploma in Archival administration and Records Management.

MR. BABATUNDE AKANGBE

Archivist/Store Keeper

He is proactive, adaptive, conscientious and self-motivated public administrator who has worked in various organizations and in different capacities. He was the Lead Head Inventory and Warehouse in Hygeia Nig. Ltd. (Lagoon Hospitals), Lagos and the Sales Representative WAHUM Packaging, Ikeja, Lagos. He is proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Peachtree premium accounting, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, ~ ERPs, CITRUS and SAGE PASTEL. He also has ability to adapt and apply new technology to work and good research skills.

Akangbe has a strong financial acumen and a strong organizational management, and analytical skills. With good understanding of the basic principles of materials management and budget control, he has the ability to interpret and analyze inventory reports for cost effective budgeting and purchasing.

Babatunde is currently an archivist, and in charge of stores with Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Osogbo, Osun state. He provides a vast experience and necessary skills especially in preservation of information, histories and in collection of artifacts. Also, he is a seasoned cinematographer with much experience in audio visual works and photography including project in archives and digitization. He is interested in all sorts of repositories, the survival of Ulli Beier’s historical photograph records, and other collections that have significant historical or cultural values. He is interested in working with other artists to identify, promote and standardize all the various works of arts in and outside of Africa.

MR. OMOTOSHO OLUWADAMILARE

Database Administrator

Omotosho Oluwadamilare Adekola holds B.Sc Estate Management from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, (Second Class Upper Division), Postgraduate-Diploma programme in Information Technology and currently undergoing his Master degree Programme in Information Technology. He holds Certificate in Certificate in Web Development, Desktop Publishing and Certificate in Graphics Design.
Over the years, Damilare has a robust experience in database administration and has both technical and analytical skills. He is privileged to be the Web Technologist at the International Conference organized by the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization and University of Benin at the University of Benin, Edo State, August 2020; Member, Local Organizing Committee, International Conference on The Alaafin in Yoruba History on Culture and Political Power Relations organized by Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Abere, Osun State, 2018 and Member, Local Organizing Committee, National Summit on Security and Insecurity in Nigeria organized by Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Abere, Osun State, 2020. He manages the organization’s digital archive/website to ensure optimal uptime and system integrity which delivers support to the business strategy of the Organisation that is achieved through Information Technology.

He is currently the Database Administrator / IT Officer, Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding,Osogbo.

MR. TAIWO ZOSU

Research Fellow

Zosu Taiwo Misenmawu is a graduate of Philosophy of the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State. He holds a B.A Philosophy (Second Class Upper) Degree (2019). He is currently a Junior Research Fellow at the CBCIU. He was the president of National Association of Philosophy Students Lagos State University Chapter (NAPS-LASU) in 2018. He is a member of the Local Organizing Committee of the Conference on Security and Insecurity in Nigerian held at the Centre in 2019. He has contributed a lot to the success of many programmes held at the Centre as he has worked under different committees for programmes and functions.

MRS. GRACE ADEWUMI

Administrative Officer II

Mrs. Grace Adewumi Grace Adewumi is currently the Administrative Officer II at the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding. holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Osun State University, Osogbo, Osun State.

 

 

MISS HAMIDAT OYEDEJI

Confidential Secretary

Hamidat Oyedeji is the Confidential Secretary to the Executive Director, Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding. She graduated from the department of Theatre and Media Arts, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

MISS DAMILOLA BANJO

Accounting Assistant

Damilola Banjo is the Accounting Assistant to the Head of Finance and Accounts, Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding. She graduated from the department of Accounting, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Osun State.
